30 minute melt down

It just didn't happen but at least I tried.....fighting with difficulty......stop fighting

So just pages with bits with holes in....

Let's wait and see

Thirty Minute Book

For the next four weeks I am going to try and make a 30 minute book as often each day as I can...

Here is todays' effort...LICHEN

Life is too short to stuff little bits of lichen into bubble wrap....

I adore snow and ice and paint and ink and charcoal

I love working with fellow artists, sharing thoughts, ideas and trouble-shooting

I try to express isolation, movement, fragility

I want the work to speak for itself

Return in the singular

A wonderful book...I aim to improve my haiku.

‘Thinking Outside the Book’

A One Day Bookmaking, Playing and Construction Workshop

Date: 7^th September 2013

10.30 – 4.30pm £50

For beginner and experienced book constructors

This is an opportunity to meet, exchange or discover new ideas.  The emphasis will be on using recycled materials and to broaden the idea of what an artist book can be, to challenge preconceptions and pursue possibilities.

Some materials will be provided but feel free to bring along any of the following….

Magazines, newspapers, brown paper, graph paper, translucent paper, stencils, word stamps, etc and any other tools you like to use.

This workshop will be facilitated at the Moray Art Centre, Findhorn.

Spaces for 4 people.

Join us for a Collaborative Project

In the last few years Madeleine Samson (my printmaking colleague) and I have spent time in both Quebec and the UK sharing our bookmaking skills and creating books, which have been exhibited in Columbia and Quebec.

We would like to invite you to join us for a four-day collaboration to create an artists book, subject matter and edition size to be negotiated between participants.  This is an exciting opportunity to explore new ideas in a supportive environment experiencing the dynamics and democracy of collaborative creativity.

Dates are negotiable according to requirements of participants.

Moray Art Centre, Findhorn: Between 8^th and 14^th September.
