Chaos Theory Dance

 Chaos Theory

This is my first movie.  Drawings made during a collaborative residency with Emma Park and her Black Swan Dance Theatre combine with words used by the dancers and photos taken during the rehearsals all put to the music (with kind permission) by Four Tet.

It was wonderful when a car drove past after I had done this, the pine needles exploded in the air blazing a trail behind it.  So wish I had the camera poised ready to record it.

I have decided after much soul searching that I need to create work outside.  I need to be outside, I hate being cooped up indoors. I have been looking through my photos for the germs of work I am beginning to make outdoors

I am going to try again to get this blog on a roll....if at first you don't succeed etc....

'Dialogue'

It's a good time to do this.  As a member of Engramme Printmakers in Quebec City I am part of their new touring exhibition 'Dialogue' which is currently on show at Edinburgh Print and I was one of 4 artists to be selected for the marketing brochure which I am absolutely delighted with.

It was wonderful to meet up again with artist friends Diane Fournier and Celine Blouin and meet Kathleen Hall and Chantal Harvey for the first time at the private view last Saturday.  The gallery talk was fun and traumatic at the same time, I am no public speaker.

To see the images of my work properly they can be viewed under prints on the website.

A New Beginning

I have just moved in to the refurbished studios at King St in Glasgow and work has begun

I am currently printmaking without a press until mine arrives hopefully within the next few weeks.

So it's embossing with a scrubbing brush which has produced some interesting results:
